God gave simple instructions to all Believers in the following verse: 2 Cor. 6:14 "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?"

God’s Will – God’s Bill

It’s 4:20 am and you’re suddenly awake.  You have a great idea in your head for a brand new business.  You shoot out of bed, grab a pen and paper and write down some quick notes.  You then go back to bed with a huge “Cheshire cat” grin, because this idea is a “sure bet winner”!  Thank you Lord!

You awake in the morning and smile at your reflection in the mirror.  This is a great morning!  God spoke to you last night.  He blessed you with a fantastic business idea and you were smart enough to write it all down.  Then it hits you.  You need money to launch this business. A lot of money!  You do a few quick calculations in your head and discover that you’ll need at least $300,000, probably $500,000 to be on the safe side.  Your smile disappears as you ask yourself, “Where am I going to get this kind of money?” Friends and family?  “Yeah, right!  They’re asking me for money!”

Relax.  You’re not the “Lone Ranger” here.  Every entrepreneur, not born to wealth, asks this same question.  It’s a big question and all too often, many entrepreneurs let it deflate their balloon.  They just give up and let their dream die a slow, sad death, leaving them with only a stinging regret.

Now, before that happens, ask a simple question – “Where is God in all this?  Isn’t this His idea in the first place?”  This is the best place to start.  You then proceed to do the following: pray and ask God to confirm this idea, seek guidance through His Word, consul with fellow Believers whom you know to run successful businesses and finally, wait to see if doors start to open.  In the interim, prepare a business plan, a comprehensive one.  This action alone will probably confirm many things for you.

Now, here’s the BEST part – if it is God’s Will, it is also God’s “bill”!  You believe that God created the universe and own’s everything in it.  Right?  So, if the Creator of the Universe has given you a mission, will He not also equip you for that mission?  Of course, He will.  He assures us so in 1 John 5:14 “And this is the confidence that we have before Him,that, if we ask anything  according to His will, He hears us.”  God offers each of us, who are following His Will, a “blank check”, so that we’re equipped to accomplish the personal mission He assigned us.  All we have to do is ASK.

This blog is the first step in the development of this website.  We are seeking God’s will at every stage by prayer, studying His Word, seeking wise counsel and watching His Hand at work opening doors.

Let’s hear from you. We are asking for your comments, ideas, requests, critique and most importantly, your prayers!  Thanks and God bless you!

Thank you for this post. I have decided (in my 49th year of life, – almost 50), to launch, full fledged, a new company. I am living on next to nothing, after loosing just about everything a few years ago.
I continue to have dead end jobs, which offer barely over min. wage, no benefits, but work my butt off for it all!! :-) – I have had the hope to have my own business – over 20+ years now. Not having clear direction on what to do. Last year I had someone new in my life that had asked me what I would do w/ my photography. It hit me like a kick in the stomach. I drove home from work that night seeking Him; then seriously redifining how I want to spend the last half of my life – shall I be blessed to live that much longer… through what has seemed like much to much time, God slowly has shown me what to do.. and he has continued to give me not only creative ideas on my work, but business ideas on marketing, who, what and where. Each step has been confirmed. He has given me patience as well.. b/c I tend to want it done like yesterday!!! Completed – packaged and ready to go.
Now, it comes down to the financing. I have spent days on research on marketing and various business information so I can solidly understand the process. Guess that is wisdom! Thank you Jesus.
I happened upon this website, read your blog, to stop and say thank you. For certain moments I have thru the course of it all, I get a bit overwhelmed at the lack of funds, but know in this seemingly slow process, I will walk one step at a time, savor each moment and know that God is in full control to direct this path! And we all shall pray – for each other along the way! God bless you!
